Growing from seed can be a tricky business and I’ve lost several seedlings to the dreaded slug; at the allotment, in the greenhouse in the yard and in a propogator in the kitchen (no, I don’t have slugs in my house – you’ll have to wait for the post about my sole surviving soya bean for full details on that one!)

My courgette seedlings survived the slugs and are now super sized and super spikey.  No wonder there are no slugs nearby, it wouldn’t be a pretty way to go.
