beside the seaside, beside the sea… with Flossie

Aunty Nic has some some funny ideas.  Like going to the seaside in January.
When it’s so cold I have to wear my snow suit.
Running is a bit tricky in a snow suit but I like walking with Uncle George.
He calls it strolling, funny Uncle George.I like strolling but it’s quite tiring.  Aunty Nic has the best ideas.  Like bringing sweets to the beach.
A really big box, full of chocolate hearts.mmmm, yummy.

a ps from Nic:
many thanks to our friends at Hotel Chocolat for such generosity with this years Valentines Collection and such kindness when I wasn’t able to post a review last month.   We were delighted to rediscover some favourites from last time like the salty caramels and the champagne truffle but the undisputed stars of the love selection were the fruity creams; the awesome Blueberry Truffle, the silky Strawberry Love and a surprisingly nice Banana Split.

other Hotel Chocolat reviews
- Christmas come early
- Easter Nibblatrons
- Cocoa Nibs Balsamic Vinegar
- White chocolate Peepsters box

I think there should be a rule against putting pictures of chocolates on blogs when there is the possibility of some chocaholic readers being housebound by sleeping kids and there is no chocolate in the house…

ps. I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen any of those guards moving, either…

Hi Nic,havent heard of them over here but they do look lovely, nothing like sandy choccies !
Winter is the best time to walk on the beach, its usually spotlessly clean, and very few people about!

    Angela – I’ll pass your kind comments on to Flossie {wink}

Jaq – boo, that doesn’t sound right, have you been in touch with them? I have you to blame thank for my love of HC treats :o

UK lass – oops sorry, I feel your pain! perhaps one day blog technology will be scratch and sniff!

Ann – that lovely moment of warming up when you get indoors makes it all worth it!

Peggy – there are a few shops dotted around but none near here either. Hooray for the internet eh!
You’re right the beach is great in winter provided you wrap up for it – peaceful and ambly :o

anenthusiast – when you need it any chocolate hits the spot!

Cheryl – they looked too good to eat.. almost, like noshing on a work of art
