treat your neighbour

We share our plot with Pat and Robin, or rather, they share their allotment with us.  Over the last few years they’ve graciously put up with our various bursts of diligence and neglect and have been unwaivering in their encouragement and sharing of tools, biscuits and produce.  This year is no different – Pat has a gorgeous crop of redcurrants and has given me license to plunder them for preserving and we’ve been eating strawberries like they’re going out of fashion.

For me though, this year is very different because I have produce of my own to share.  Hooray!  Only a cabbage, some lettuce seedlings and Pak Choi seeds so far but it’s a start and it feels wonderful to share and share alike.
