MOSAIC - stripey beets

home-grown beets and lettuce + shop-bought tomatoes, green beans and halloumi

I didn’t think to photograph this unusual variety of beetroot until I sliced them in half and was reminded of their distinct stripey-ness.  Hope you like the unstaged chucked-on-the-plate effect!

Stripey beets courtesy of Pat and Robin and roasted in the oven with the green beans.  Halloumi grilled and lettuce rinsed vigorously to remove grit and bugs.
