first peas

Peas_close up

First sown 29th April and every single one munched by slugs.  Unfortunately sowings in spring take 3-4 weeks to peak through the soil so it’s a good month or more before you realise they’re not coming.  Peas re-sown 11th June, slug pellets sprinkled liberally and these lovely pods picked today.  Only one gorgeous handful and all snacked on while weeding (sorry George).  MOSAIC - peas
