Here’s a snapshot of my wonderful week. I want to tell you all about it but we’ve friends coming to stay for a few days so there won’t be time. No prizes for guessing who’s who and what’s what but if you’re curious about any particular pictures let me know – it’ll help me decide which story to start with when I’m back on-line!
ps. our friends that are coming tomorrow emigrated to Australia nearly 2 years ago and I can’t describe how happy I am that they’ll be with us for two precious days before they head home to Adelaide. So I’d like to raise my glass of home made cordial in a toast to friendship; golden oldies, newly blossoming or just being seeded alike.

What a glorious week you had!! Enjoy your visit!!!
Your week looks intriguing! Enjoy your friends visit ,it is fantastic to meet up with people again and catch up, emails are fairly instant but there is nothing like a good old sit down ‘natter’. Best wishes to Henley, what an inspiration he is to get out and about.
What a harvest! Looking forward to hearing more – everything looks so perfect!
What a wonderful and colourful week you’ve had! Love the pics!Have a great couple of days. x
I want to know about all of them.
Enjoy the couple of days you have with your friends. Good friends are hard to come by.
Looking forward to hearing about that tiny tomato!!! Have a lovely time with your friends.
I’ll keep some beans as you suggest just in case Wilko’s doesn’t stock them next year.
Some of your produce looks wondeful.
I know how special it is to meet up with friends who you don’t see often enough, enjoy yourself.
OMG your blog is amaaazing! All that fabulous home grown produce, I love all things homegrown along with cooking, knitting & sewing etc. Have just discovered your blog via Myretail therapy as I saw your URL on there.
Just been looking at your meadow pinny which is so sweet and then noticed that 2 of your cats are identical to ours (I think from the pics) – we have an all black and an all white one too – the black one is Elmo and the white one Coco, funny. Have bookmarked you and will be back!! Helen
thanks for your lovely comments Helen. There’s been little time for knitting and sewing during harvest time but come November the needles will be out! Are Elmo and Coco related? Our 3 are siblings which is a bit bizarre since they’re a short haired black, long haired white and a tortoiseshell. They definitely look alike though – I love Billy’s Elvis side burn and bushy black tail against his snowy white body. Cats, how could you not love them?
hello friends, thank you all for your lovely comments as ever.
We had a lovely time with our beloved mates and although it was only 24 hours it was wonderful and we’re so thankful for the time we did have.
So back to blogging and where to start…. ah yes, the tiny toms for Ann :o)
tears in my eyes to see that lovely photo from 1996 – you must have had a lovely few days together when they visited! How i miss you guys!! Just how i remember you all 🙂 BLESSINGS!
It was very short and sweet. Over a year ago now and it’s hard being so far from dear friends. Especially as they’ve had a new baby in the last month – a little girl :o)
