Peggy – I was amazed they survived all that snow. Mine’s a x12 zoom and I use photoshop to crop and zoom in on a small section of the photo

Kirsten – thanks, itching to get out to the allotment. Must be bone dry for all this gorgeous sunshine we’ve been having

Miss M – blooms are so cheering. I took these photos the week before my op. It’ll be another week before i can get to the plot so I’ll have lots of time to catch up on my backlog of posts :o)

Stunning pics…just beautiful! My tulips are up but they don’t really compare to those.

    Hope you feel better soon!

Such a wonderful array of floral goodness – I wish you could smell them through a computer.

And finally a fab spirally path made with mosaic stepping stones using recycled materials like bottle tops, buttons and straws (from a show garden @bbcgwlive on 2005) #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #gardenersworldlive #mosaicsteppingstones #mosaicart Beautiful show garden from @bbcgwlive 2005. Wouldn't this make a fab addition to your allotment! Link in bio for more pictures
#nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #allotmentgardening #paintedtyregardenplanters #paintedtyres #gardenersworldlive These fab painted tyre planters were part of a show garden at @bbcgwlive in 2005. They're teaching me a thing or too about blog traffic as I try to get my head around SEO and why some posts have lots of hits and some have none. 2826 people have searched for painted tyres since I shared it in 2011 as a #wordlesswednesday post. I've now added in some copy about the day and some of the other photos. Just shows that adding useful titles to your images can be as helpful as writing relevant copy!

#gloucesterlife #indoorsnowplay #childhoodunplugged A funny little momento from our walk on Crosby beach - holding hands and gazing out to sea :0). #anotherplaceanthonygormley #nipitinthebudblog #visitingliverpool A conversation with @hoshistarhoshistarhoshistar today reminded me of a visit to Liverpool in 2010. 100 cast iron, life size figures spread out along three kilometres of Crosby beach and stretching one kilometre out to sea.  Spectacular.  It's worth checking tide times if you want to be able to walk along the beach.
