pssst, …. if you’ve not come across Wordless Wednesday before it’s something we bloggers (well not me until now) do to take a break from writing a story or to post a nice image without the need for words. In my case it’s a good excuse to share a picture I like that’s never quite made into a blog post – well what else is there to say about rain drops on sprout leaves?

    Who needs diamonds?!

I like the reflection of the trees in the rain drop which I only noticed when I opened the photo for posting today

Nice picture, but does Wordless Wednesday also mean no comments?

  • 6. Nip it in the bud  |  February 16, 2011 at 4:41 pm

probably from me yes, but it’s my first time so I think I can be forgiven ;o) Some people add a couple of words and give the photo a title.
For you though responses are fine especially such a fine choice of words – ‘nice’ one of my favourites x

  • 8. Joanna @ Zeb Bakes  |  February 17, 2011 at 12:08 pm

I love the photo and the idea. But I’ve missed Wednesday now, rats. How about posting some totally flippant comment and calling it Thoughtless Thursdays…. ? I might try that right now 🙂

Dirty girl – they were sprouts… before the snow at Christmas turned them yucky!

Joanna – I think it’s been going for ages so there’s always next wednesday. You made me chuckle with your suggestion and I’m sure I’d chuckle at your flippant comments (i’m sure you could find a pic or too to caption it with). Being a sunny side up kind of gal I’d have to go for a ‘Thoughtful Thursday’ though … I do love quotes afterall.

    Catherine – ta :o)

Just as well it wasn’t thundery Thursday, or it could have been frantic Friday for your mum and me.

  • 12. Nip it in the bud  |  February 17, 2011 at 11:04 pm

we were lucky with the weather today but I think it’ll still be a frantic friday for mum when she realises she left her jeans behind (currently on the table being warmed by Mikey!)

i like your “everlovin” dad’s comments 🙂 like father like daughter in so many ways. I really would love to make it over to see you and to catch up sometime with your lovely family who are such a beautiful extension of you! (or perhaps they would correct me you of them 🙂 In any case you are all lovely and to know you is such a joy! Just wish we lived a little nearer! love everyday and always x x x

life is long Anna and it will happen one day if we create the opportunity. We’re in the same country at least, that’s a good start :o)

And finally a fab spirally path made with mosaic stepping stones using recycled materials like bottle tops, buttons and straws (from a show garden @bbcgwlive on 2005) #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #gardenersworldlive #mosaicsteppingstones #mosaicart Beautiful show garden from @bbcgwlive 2005. Wouldn't this make a fab addition to your allotment! Link in bio for more pictures
#nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #allotmentgardening #paintedtyregardenplanters #paintedtyres #gardenersworldlive These fab painted tyre planters were part of a show garden at @bbcgwlive in 2005. They're teaching me a thing or too about blog traffic as I try to get my head around SEO and why some posts have lots of hits and some have none. 2826 people have searched for painted tyres since I shared it in 2011 as a #wordlesswednesday post. I've now added in some copy about the day and some of the other photos. Just shows that adding useful titles to your images can be as helpful as writing relevant copy!
