I love the way the rolling hill sunder that threatening sky contrast so beautifully with the vivid yellow.

Lovly pic. just came on your blog, I like it. I am living in north-west Ireland with hubby Andy, who’s from Kent, we used to live in Bristol. Am trying to connect with other gardeners who blog.

fab pic of the bird on the feeder! It is great to see sunshine on the hills and a blue sky even if it is still cold.

Janet – it’s rather striking isn’t it. That’s Scotland for you – simply beautiful

    Nina – see above!

John – oh to be there again with you guys. Happy days indeedy.

Nic – … and picking up quite a pace now!

Bridget – nice of you to pop by. You look like you’re kept very busy with all your acres, polytunnels and animals but how wonderful to be nearly sustainable. I’ve a long long way to go before I reach that stage!

Peggy – he was rather shy and kept flying off but fortunately the allure of the peanuts was too great. I was a good way off but with the wonder of zooms and crops I got to see him in all his glory on screen :o)

Fresh from the oven. Can you smell it? Happy Saturday everyone x
#nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #easypeasylemoncake Fondly thinking of my Nan as I mix up the lemon cake batter with L. When I baked with her as a child we sometimes used a wooden spoon for mixing but I was in awe of the hand held whisk with the handle that seemed so miraculous. I love that @oxouk have a modern day version for mornings when our slow pace doesn't want to be interrupted by the whirr of machinery #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #oxogoodgrips #bakingwithkids #childhoodunplugged #slowsaturdays #lovedungarees Trying to decide whether to make lemon cake or these beetroot and chocolate muffins. I guess the boys will determine that as I've all the ingredients for one but not the other! Love having an on-line cookbook to browse through in my blog. #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #beetrootandchocolatemuffins #bakingwithkids #flashbackfriday here you go @cathy.heller my 2.5 year old self saying Hi to your 6 year old self! My love of gardening must have started at a young age. I'm pleased to say I get most of the water on the plants these days!
#nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #throwbackphotos #gardeningwithkids #70skid Writing clears my head. I write the words it's too scary to mutter. Sharing the words is scary too but in the sharing comes the feeling of being less alone in it. I dumped these words in a blog post 3 years ago. Time to let them fly and find someone who might be having a hard time today. Link to "how it feels sometimes parenting a 3 year old" in bio. Much love x #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #parentingistough #writingastherapy #newblogpost #gentleparenting Thanks Anna @imaginationtree for this brilliant toddler activity idea. 23 month old Luca filling up muffin tins with balls using our fab easygrip @oxouk tongs #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #oxogoodgrips #thelennyagency Regrann from @musicalgeorgemoorey - Alice White & George Shilling in action a few hours ago for session 6 of #spacesgloucester @gloucestercathedral #nationallotteryfunded Luca and I discovered the most amazing place in town today. A beautiful craft space where you pay £4 to make anything from beautiful beaded canvases to painted ornaments to mosaic door signs. What a peaceful way to spend an hour making a canvas for the boys. Luca helped too, mostly by bimbling about picking up pots of beads and letters. If you're in Gloucester you must check out @kftreasureseekers . Open daily including Saturdays and available for parties. We'll definitely be back!
#gloucesterlife #nipitinthebudblog #makeandtake #kftreasureseekers #craftingwithkids In this crazy world of technology and social media I hope my boys don't ever find letter writing and parcel post to be the stuff of history books. You can't beat a little postal surprise and love letter. This fab book is on it's way to the boys cousin :0)
