P is for … pregnant

… pregnant.
Which explains the lack of gardening, cooking and blogging (and G’s new nickname).
20 weeks today 😮  baby apparently the length of a banana from head to heel!

Am SO delighted for you both, Nic & G. 🙂

Many congratulations – especially as (given that I am mrs pea brain!) I think that you have had previous sorrow here. 😦

I think that you know that I follow your blog, Nic – although I don’t often comment – but can’t help but send my very best wishes to you both here!

A gentle ‘whoop!’ and love to you both.

Congratulations! Though why anybody would want you to liken your baby to a banana is puzzling, I now have a vision of you and both of my sisters-in-law with bananas in their bellies, could be a shock come the scans…

Hazel – thank you and yes the journey to parenthood has not been easy. ‘whoop’ indeed with increasing crescendo!

Janet – you should see what vegetables and fruits they use for comparison over the next 40 weeks. An eye watering water melon by week 40 which none of us want to really be reminded of!

Greg – hmm, frippery is the only word that springs to mind – although this is no ‘tawdry or frivolous thing’. I’m intrigued ;o

Lynne – thanks, ‘excited’ was certainly my first choice of E.

Claire – hello you 😮 I recognised your email address and so happy to be the bringer of broad smiles. How did your beans do? The heritage ones I had from my friend were great but the rest failed (old seed I think)

Joanna – you’re telling me! We’ve not stopped smiling either! (well now at least. Was impossible most days for the first 4 months I was so sick!)

Em – yep, getting better every day thanks and lovely to be feeling so much movement now too. Lovely to be linked from your blog – I shall reciprocate 😮

Tom – cheers, we’re all as pleased as punch. My other brother (Tom’s uncle) is becoming a dad in October too so Nana Hayward is practically turning cartwheels!

thanks Fiona. Perfect timing as baby will be born in winter when the garden’s asleep and 3 months old by Easter when we can start to plant things out. I suspect a love of the allotment is already in it’s blood!
