me and mine {February family portrait}

There must be something wrong with me; I forgot to take my camera out on a couple of family outings this month. I certainly forgot to ask anyone to take a photo of us so this month’s ‘me and mine’ family portrait is an at-arms-reach shot. I rather like it and probably would have still chosen it even with more photos to select from.2-2-13 - Me and Mine February 4B

We went to the Dick Whittington Farm Park to celebrate my birthday at the start of the month.  They have some small farm animals and a rather intriguing reptile room.  I’m not a fan of scaley critters generally but these fine fellas were rather striking and seemed to be posing for the camera as they tried to get as close to us as possible. Euan spent the rest of the afternoon flicking his tongue in an out.2-2-13 - Farm park_Iguana 4B2-2-13 - Farm park_Iguana 2 4B2-2-13 - Farm park_Iguana 3 4B

When it became too cold to stay outside we warmed up indoors sharing E’s first bounce on a trampoline (listen out for his super cute ”uh oh” at the end)…before leaving with some freshly laid eggs.2-2-13 - Farm Park_eggs 4B

    I love the way that you are the only one looking at the camera and that the two boys are just grinning at each other. Such a cute shot! X

    the best thing about arms-reach shots is the closeness of everyone in the photo, it’s a lovely photo and looks like a really fun outing!

Day 16 of #30dayswild - reading nature stories at bedtime. One of E's favourites 'The winter hedgehog'. When I said to E we hadn't really done a random act of wildness today he immediately replied "yes we did, we went outside, we looked at flowers and Luca picked up pine cones on the way to Alfie's party".
