21-9-13 - Zac bday_E face painting 4Bdoh, doh and double doh!  The end of the month has crept up on me again and I’ve experienced my first ‘Me and Mine’ defeat.   334 photos in my September folder and not a single one of all 3 of us!

September has been a month of celebrations; blessed relief from continued rain related DIY nightmares at home.  First two wedding anniversaries; our 15th and Mum and Dad’s 45th.  Then a 20 year college reunion in Lancaster.  And last week two birthdays; E’s cousin Zac’s 2nd and remembering Nan on what would have been her 96th birthday.

Zac’s celebrations saw little party goers transformed into animals (miraculously so in 2 minutes, the maximum sitting still time you can expect from a toddler) and the arrival of  Peppa Pig.  E had no idea who Peppa was but delighted in getting her attention by tugging her skirt saying ”oink oink piggy, oink oink”.

My Dad emailed this picture of the 3 of us to me in September.
A suitable Me and Mine substitute for this month do you think?3 of us by Dad
This photo captured a first for us as parents: coming together again after a trip to the cinema. Just the two of us… for the first time in over 2 years.
We chose an 11am showing so there was no danger of us falling asleep!
At the end of the film we rang Mum and she insisted we stay out for lunch since E was having such a nice time hanging out in the garden. Win-Win.
Family. Don’t you just love ’em.

Phew! That was a busy month for you, and it’s lucky your parents had a photo. I left getting my photo until the last possible day this month but then panicked whether I was going to get the perfect one or not. Thanks for joining in. x

Wow, that cake is amazing! Sounds like a really nice time for just the two of you – so rare that it happens, it’s nice to make the most of it.

I think this is my favourite post this month. Absolutely what this project is about and that cake – oh WOW! xx

That’s a lovely family photo. And the time for the two of you is just wonderful. We swear by date nights which have now become date days too 🙂 x

Lucy – so great to be part of Me and Mine, even the rushed pictures are better than none :o)

Chloe – rare indeed, we need to make more of an effort (or for my part I need to not keep falling asleep with E!)

Lucy – I’d like to say it won’t happen again but here we are already the 20th of the month and only one photo snapped so far.

Lauren – oooh date days, now that’s something to aim for!

And finally a fab spirally path made with mosaic stepping stones using recycled materials like bottle tops, buttons and straws (from a show garden @bbcgwlive on 2005) #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #gardenersworldlive #mosaicsteppingstones #mosaicart Beautiful show garden from @bbcgwlive 2005. Wouldn't this make a fab addition to your allotment! Link in bio for more pictures
#nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife #allotmentgardening #paintedtyregardenplanters #paintedtyres #gardenersworldlive These fab painted tyre planters were part of a show garden at @bbcgwlive in 2005. They're teaching me a thing or too about blog traffic as I try to get my head around SEO and why some posts have lots of hits and some have none. 2826 people have searched for painted tyres since I shared it in 2011 as a #wordlesswednesday post. I've now added in some copy about the day and some of the other photos. Just shows that adding useful titles to your images can be as helpful as writing relevant copy!
