decisions, decisions … but first a birthday

A big thank you to those who responded so warmly to my ponderings of whether to keep blogging. It was touching to hear so many of you say you enjoy sharing a glimpse of our family life, with or without the allotment gardening. I have now decided to let go of our corner plot at the allotment (still need to hit ‘send‘ on that email, eek!) as it’s simply too large and wild for the time we have to give it. However my friend Jennie and I visited the allotment at the weekend to see whether her plot, about a third of the size of ours, could be retamed with us both working on it.

As for the blogging, here I am keeping going, with a small cute boy post! More to follow on how we celebrated E’s 2nd birthday this weekend but for now here he is in all his wonderful, funny toddlery-ness.

6 years ago today I took my last waddle to the allotment to pick green veg for a vitamin packed last supper. I knew baby was on his way but had a feeling he wasn't going to be quick about it. It's his birthday in 2 days time and I'm so excited for him, my darling Whopper (he was 10lb 2oz and my bump in this picture is 48"!)

So many other wonderful poems available as postcards and her new book is also in stock on her website. Go check her out, she's ace :0)

Figured they'd be more appealing to 5 year olds than dying real eggs green!
