13-12-15 - Kindness Elves Day 2 4B
”I love making Christmas cards so much” declared E yesterday so I knew today’s suggestion from the Kindness Elves was going to be warmly received. E loves to sit at the kitchen table drawing and sticking and writing which is so lovely to silently observe.

E’s always been curious about letters and numbers and as soon as he could ask questions he’d point to road signs or lettering on grates and ask what it said. One of his favourite games is to call out a word, ask how it’s spelt and then write it down. It’s heart warming to be able to encourage his love of learning so simply through sincere communication and connection with him. Today he asked G to write out the alphabet so he could practice his letters. Such delight on his face when he realised he was writing S backwards and then wrote it the right way with no assitance but his own careful observation and determination.

We noticed that last week with his own name, where he had E U N in capital letters but the a was like a ball going vertically up a hill. Showed him A to go between U and N and he accepted it as a definite possibility!

#welovelego #unpluggedchildhood #gloucesterlife #nipitinthebudblog November 2011 on an unbelievably sunny day, with an allotment flourishing with green manure plants and an enormous 7 month bump. As you can imagine I didn't get much gardening done that day! Seems crazy how quickly the years have gone, our bump will be 6 next week!
