Me and Mine project [April 2017]

April 30, 2017 at 8:00 am 1 comment

Oh, Me and Mine project, how I’ve missed you.  So much has changed since we last met up (March 2014, our 15th Me and Mine picture, just after E’s 2nd birthday, ). Other bloggers remained steadfast year after year, I’m sorry we drifted apart.
Will you have me back? I have so much I want to tell you!

Euan is 5 now and has a baby brother called Luca who turned 1 this week.  It’s even harder to get a picture of the 4 of us but a stranger in Williamson Park in Lancaster did a fine job don’t you think?  We had a pit stop there on our epic journey home from Scotland and shared stories with E about Mummy and Daddy falling in love as students in Lancaster over 20 years ago.  He thought Daddy’s story of falling asleep on this bench was the funniest.  We thought it was funny when our little comedian immediately pretended to be Daddy!

Oh, Me and Mine project, I have often thought of you and since L arrived you have inspired two family photos. Our first picture now we are 4 was taken in May 2016 when L was 1 month old. He’s changed so much since then – he hadn’t quite mastered smiling or staying awake!
He’s 7 months old in the second picture taken in November 2016.

A note about the Me and Mine project:
It’s all about capturing your whole family together in a photograph.
Lucy at ‘Dear Beautiful’ explains  ”I feel really passionate about the importance of photographs of family, and not just photographs of children.  Our children will want to see us present in their childhoods when they’re older. So we shouldn’t wait until the perfect day or until we lose a little weight, or until we get better at photography. What really matters in that we photograph all the memories, and that means all of us being in them”.

This month’s Me and Mine project photos are posted here at Lucy, the creator’s, Dear Beautiful blog.  Maybe I’ll see you over there?  You can share your Me and Mine post in the Linky at the bottom of Lucy’s post.
If you’re interested in our previous Me and Mine photos from 2013-14 to see how baby L compares to baby E you can find them here

Lunch served on a bed of allotment grown lettuce to make up for the distinct lack of a certain green ingredient from my Greek Salad (I can't really call it that anyway as I can't resist adding balsamic vinegar). #nipitinthebudblog #gloucesterlife

Fathers Day came and went with G having to work away for the day and me being busy with the boys at my parents. So I didn't get the chance to say what a brilliant, supportive and kind Father and husband G is. This is Luca at 4 days old snugged into his Dad's hoody when I was too ill with an infection to hold him We were cup feeding him expressed milk because he had a tongue tie and couldn't nurse. Hard times are always made easier with @musicalgeorgemoorey by my side. #nipitinthebudblog #coparentingdad #gloucesterlife

Day 16 of #30dayswild - reading nature stories at bedtime. One of E's favourites 'The winter hedgehog'. When I said to E we hadn't really done a random act of wildness today he immediately replied "yes we did, we went outside, we looked at flowers and Luca picked up pine cones on the way to Alfie's party". Oh yes! #gloucesterlife #nipitinthebudblog @gloswildlife
