Day 6 – intended to make these yarn wrap leaves but E’s daily card making turned into gift making for Nana and Grandad.
Day 7 – bird feeders; first attempt using coconut oil and gelatine flopped (too crumbly) but second attempt using lard in a yogurt pot succeeded.
Day 8 – piggy bank pennies for Guide Dogs for the blind
Day 9 – card for the binmen (we missed them on the last collection day so our card will become a New Year thank you)
E was greeted by these lovely little fellas when he woke up this morning. He’d received a Christmas Card from the Kindness Elves yesterday heralding their imminent arrival and was thrilled to find them waiting in their little house for him this morning. The Kindness Elves have come to share the magic of Christmas and to see if E is as kind and helpful as they’ve heard. Each day they’ll be waiting in a new place in the house with a suggestion for an act of kindness E can help them to carry out.
A rather lovely result from Day 1’s kind deed (which you’ll have to wait until morning to see as my camera just loves the sparkly lights on the Christmas tree too much!).
Anna at The Imagination Tree came up with the idea of the Kindness Elves a few years ago and made them available to buy for the first time this year and has all sorts of kind deeds suggestions to help you on your way. You could use any doll or cuddly you already have at home to spread some festive love and magic.
